long lake dam

We went out to Long lake dam on Saturday which is about 30 miles away, and took some pictures, and relaxed, this is a shot of the Spokane river downstream from below the dam.My next few posts will be of this area I hope you enjoy.

I know these look like apples but they are berries that are about as big around as an ink pen.

These are seeds on a maple tree

You live in a beautiful area for sure. And I love taking a dog for a romp. Sadly our family dog (golden retriever Wendydog age 13) is now too old to go for long energetic walks, half an hour a day is enough for her now.

Three nice ones! I especially like the long lake dam shot downstream. Beautiful colors in that one. The orange berries are very interesting...look tasty, but are they? Nice close up on the maple seeds.

If Ranger were human he'd be as handsome as George Clooney (trust me, I'm a girl, I know!). I don't think I've seen those berries before. Your blog is very interesting!

Cheers from Boston!

Hiya! Sorry it took me so long to return the visit your blog, I see I've been missing some lovely photos, I went back to the beginning of August to enjoy your photos. (I went to Leavensworth a couple of years ago). Washington is such a beautiful state, I try to go at least once a year. The color of those berries is stunning!
