Welcome to Roaming With Ranger. This blog is just for fun, and to share some of the photos I have taken when Ranger and I are out roaming about having fun, so I hope you enjoy. Please leave your comments. Also you can click on the pictures for a larger version. THANK YOU
This is at the city of Post Falls in northern Idaho, it is a few miles down stream from the head of the Spokane river, which comes out of Coeur d' Alene lake, and is about 30 miles from my house in Spokane.
What an interesting p[ost, what a shame that it's no longer working. But it looks to be in fine shape. Thanks for including the information on the history of this piece of machinery.

I love the local significance of this.
That's a fine shot of the Head Gate. Good to include the story behind it too. Fine post, Lloyd!

Very interesting. It's nice that they restored the gate.
A interesting post. I read a lot of 19th century American history and we were such a resourceful nation. I'm glad they restored the gate.
Fine shots and interesting with the old 'info'. The striped shadows are beautiful!
Interesting pictures!
Just dropping by to say hello!
